Baron Franz von Pillersdorf

Franz Xaver ( III.) Freiherr von Piller village (* March 1, 1786 in Brno, † February 22, 1862 in Vienna ) was an Austrian civil servant and statesman.

Life

Francis, son of Francis Xavier ( II ) Barons of Piller village ( 1757-1806 ), Councillor of the Supreme Court of Vienna and kk Steward, studied in Vienna Law and Political Science. 1811 secretary of the Exchequer, he supported the Army from 1813 to 1815 Minister Baldacci in the supply of the army and the administration of the occupied territories in France. After returning from England, which he attended to, to Austria, he was employed in the financial management, in 1824 Vice- President of the Exchequer, Privy Councillor in 1832 and in 1842 Chancellor of the United Court Chancery. In 1845 he was made an honorary citizen of Vienna, 1846, he was awarded the Order of Stephan. In the revolutionary year of 1848 Piller village whose opposition was known against the ruling system to Metternich, was appointed Minister of the Interior, on May 4 1848 Prime Minister on 20 March 1848. The he created liberal Constitution of April 25, 1848 ( Pillersdorf Constitution) for the countries Cisleithanian enough neither the revolutionaries nor the crown, which he resigned on July 8. He was elected on a member of the Austrian Reichstag opened on July 22, but could not win any influence on the further course of events. After the dissolution of the Reichstag Kremsier he had no public office and was even involved in a disciplinary investigation. In 1852 he was removed from the series of Privy Councillors and Stephan Ritter. In April 1861 he was elected by the Lower Austrian Landtag in the Austrian parliament and chairman of the Finance Committee. However, he died on February 22, 1862, after he had recently been fully rehabilitated.

In the year 1862 ( 2nd district ) was named the Piller village street after him in Vienna Leopoldstadt.
