Baron Karl Ludwig von der Pfordten

Ludwig Karl Heinrich Freiherr von der Pfordten ( born September 11, 1811 in Ried ( Innkreis ); † August 18, 1880 in Munich) was a Bavarian and Saxon legal scholars and politicians.

Life

From the Pfordten studied in Heidelberg and Erlangen Jura. In 1828 he became a member of the Corps Onoldia Erlangen. After his habilitation in 1833 he was made ​​an associate in 1834 and in 1836 full professor of Roman law in Würzburg.

In 1843 he became a professor at the University of Leipzig at the Faculty of Law in 1845 and became its rector the leader of the Saxon liberals.
