Barotseland

Barotseland is located in the Western Province of Zambia. It largely coincides with that province, under which see the close geographic descriptions. Barotseland is the former territory of the kingdom of the Lozi. It consisted of about 1835 to 1890 and then as a British protectorate until 1964.
