Barranco District

Barranco is one of 43 districts of Lima Metropolitana region in Peru. To 3.3 sq km area is home to around 35,280 inhabitants. On October 26, 1864 Barranco officially became a city district of Lima.

Barranco is bordered to the north by Miraflores, on the east by Santiago de Surco, on the south by Chorrillos and in the west by the coast lies to the Pacific.

The acting mayor of the municipality is called Jéssica Vargas Gómez ( since 2011 ).
