The Barrenjoey Road is a main road in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales. It combines the Mona Vale Road and Pittwater Road in Mona Vale to Palm Beach at the mouth of the Hawkesbury River.

Course

In Mona Vale, where Mona Vale Road (Met -3) and Pittwater Road (Met -10) meet, the Barrenjoey Road continues north to the tip of Palm Beach Peninsula. She leads through the villages of Newport, Bilgola and Avalon. In Plm Beach on the tip of the peninsula it ends. At the 15 km road are approximately 1,150 private properties.

State of development and speed limit

In Mona Vale starts the road to six lanes. From Newport leads from only a two-lane road to the north, which extends to the north of Avalon again to four lanes. Shortly before Palm Beach it is again two lanes.

The maximum speed limit on the entire length of the route is 60 km / h
