Barry Allen (musician)

Barry Allen ( * in Edmonton, Alberta ) is a Canadian rock musician.

Allen began his musical career as a background singer and guitarist Wes Dakus and the Rebels, which drew the attention of producer Norm Petty on him. This led in 1965 to the release of two singles and his debut album " Goin ' places". He had a top hit the following year with "Love drops".

After two more, but unsuccessful singles, the record company Capitol of it isolated; after an interlude with Barry Allen and the Lords in 1970, he returned back with the band Painter, but published only one LP.

Allen, who also received a Juno Award, established in the mid -1970s, his own recording studio, Homestead Records.
