Barry Christopher Knestout

Barry Christopher Knestout ( born June 11, 1962 in Cheverly, Maryland, USA) is an American priest and auxiliary bishop in Washington.

Life

Barry Christopher Knestout received on 24 June 1989 the archbishop of Washington, Cardinal James Aloysius Hickey, the sacrament of Holy Orders and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Washington.

November 18, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. Titular Bishop of Leavenworth and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Washington. The Archbishop of Washington, Donald Wuerl, donated to him on 29 December of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Auxiliary Bishops in Washington, Francisco González Valer SF and Martin David Holley.
