Barry Harris

Barry Doyle Harris ( * December 15, 1929 in Detroit ) is an American jazz pianist of the bop ( bebop and hard bop ) and teachers.

Life and work

Harris comes as his childhood friend Tommy Flanagan from Detroit, where his mother was a church pianist. The age of four, he learned piano and won the mid-1940s a prize in a local piano competition.
