Barry Hugman

Barry J. Hugman ( * 1941 ) is a British sports writer who has worked in the field of English football and of boxing and their statistical processing.

Life

Hugman first completed a business education and went on for several years after a civilian job before he devoted himself to the statistical evaluation of English football. First was the acquisition of all the players that were accrued in the English league football since resumption of gaming operations following the Second World War, in the foreground. Later he expanded his work to include other areas in English football and also recognized Boxstatistiken. In particular, he has published annually since the 1980s for both sports yearbooks with the statistics of each last year. He is the editor of the annual The PFA Footballers ' Who's Who, formerly under the name of The Official PFA Footballers' Factfile appeared, and the The British Boxing Board of Control Boxing Yearbook.
