Bart Swings

Bart Swings ( born February 12, 1991 Herent ) is a Belgian inline speed skaters and speed skaters. He began at the age of 8 years with the rollerblading and has an older brother Maarten, which is also successful as an inline speed skaters.

Swings is a multiple World and European champion inline speed skating.

Swings started in 2007 Skate for the ZEPTO team between 2008 and 2009 for the Orana Racing Team and 2010 to 2011 for the World Team CadoMotus. In 2012 he moved to Powerslide Matter World Team.

2013 won the Berlin Marathon Swings for the first time with a new course record of 59:28 minutes.

Swings studied at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Since 2011 he is also active as a speed skater. In the all-around world championship in 2012 he finished in 9th place in the overall standings.

On November 25, 2012 Swings first reached the podium in a World Cup race. In Kolomna it occupies more than 1500 m in second place.

On February 17, 2013 Swings surprisingly won his first World Cup medal in speed skating. He finished third in the Big Four fight in the all-around World Cup in Hamar third place. On March 10, 2013 Swings first won two World Cup races in Heerenveen. He won the 1500 m run and in the mass start race.

Swings is a participant in the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. At the race over 5000 meters he finished fourth.
