54.95

Bartels is an impact crater on the western edge of the visible front surface of the moon. In this position, the crater is visible only from the side and the observation is affected by Librationseffekte. A complete observation is only possible from the lunar orbit. It is located north of the crater Moseley and south-southeast of Voskresenskiy.

The rim of Bartels, mainly in the southern area, worn and eroded by erosion and subsequent impacts. The northeastern boundary is superimposed by a smaller crater. The crater floor forms a smooth plane with a low central peak and has some tiny impact craters.
