Bartolo di Fredi

Bartolo di Fredi (c. 1330 in Siena, ibid † around 1409; Bartolo di Fredi also Battilori ) was an Italian painter.

Bartoli di Fredi painted in 1380 the frescoes in the Cathedral of Hauptkappelle in Volterra. 1382 he worked at the central panel ( Deposition of Christ ) for the Cappella della Compagnia Annunziata in San Francesco, Montalcino. 1388 he painted the triptych for the same church. He had now gained great importance and has at times been a member of the city government in Siena. His son Andrea di Bartolo was also a painter and was also a member of the city government,
