Barum, Uelzen

Barum is a municipality in the Lüneburg Heath in the district of Uelzen, Lower Saxony ( Germany ). Barum belongs to Samtgemeinde Bevensen - Ebstorf and has almost 820 inhabitants.

Geography

Barum is located in the north of the district Uelzen about 3 km southwest of Bad Bevensen. The county town of Uelzen neighboring municipality is bordered to the south of the municipality. Through the capital flows of Barumer Mühlbach.

History

Incorporations

On 1 July 1972, the municipality Tätendorf - Eppensen was incorporated.

Religions

  • The Evangelical Lutheran St. George's church in Barum was incorporated on 1 June 2012 with the Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation Natendorf to Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation in Barum Barum Natendorf.
  • The Catholic faithful are members of St. Joseph's parish in Bad Bevensen.

Since the local elections of 2011, the voter community occupied all nine seats.

Mayor since 2012 Hermann Kalinowski (WG). The council has Samtgemeinde Mayor Hans -Jürgen Chamber ordered the municipal director. The Municipal Office is located in the bakery aisle 3
