Baruth / Mark includes parts of the Low Flämings and the Baruth glacial valley. It lies in direct proximity to the Spreewald and is located approximately 40 kilometers from the southern border of the city of Berlin, located at the intersection of highways 96 and 115

History

Baruth / Mark was first mentioned in 1234 and was then only in the possession of the Ernestine dukes of Saxony, before it got to the Albertine line of Saxony under Maurice of Saxony. Baruther Glashütte
