Bas-Sassandra
Bas -Sassandra is an administrative region in the Ivory Coast capital San Pédro.
Population
One estimate from 2007, according to Bas -Sassandra has about 1,202,761 inhabitants and thus in an area of 25,800 km ², a population density of 47 inhabitants per km ². At the last census in the year 1988 644.805 inhabitants were counted.
Geography
Bas -Sassandra is located in southwestern Ivory Coast, bordered to the north by Moyen- Cavally and skin -Sassandra and on the east by Fromager and Sud- Bandama. The region is divided into four departments of San Pédro, Sassandra, Soubré and Tabou.
