Basappa Danappa Jatti

BD Jatti ( Basappa Danappa Jatti; born September 10, 1912 in Savalgi; † 7 June 2002, Bangalore ) was from 1974 to 1979 Vice- President of India, Acting Indian President from February 12, 1977 to 25 July 1977.

The lawyer was Chief Minister of Mysore (1958-1962), Lieutenant Governor of Pondicherry (1968-1972) and Governor of Orissa ( 1972-1974 ). As Indian Vice President, he was the provisional Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed after the death of Indian President.
