Bascule (horse)

As Bascule the attitude of the horse over the obstacle is called.

As a bascule (French for "Rocker " ) is defined as the arching of the horse's back and the downlink of the head and neck over the obstacle. Here, the withers should be the highest point. This approach is facilitated by the established by Federico Caprilli early 20th century as a military Spring System Spring seat. The degree of Basculierens depends also on the disposition of the horse. The bascule is to ensure that the horse can pull the front legs higher, and thus the probability that the rod falls over the obstacle is relatively small.

As Bascule but also the rocker board at the guillotine is known.
