Basey, Samar

Basey is a Philippine municipality in the province of Samar on the island of Samar. It has 50 423 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 51 barangays. The community is described as partly urban and belongs to the first class of income communities in the Philippines. Your neighboring municipalities are Pinabacdao and Santa Rita in the north, to the Eastern Samar province in the east and in the south marabout. In the south of the town bordering the Gulf of Leyte. Basey is located about 59 southeast of the provincial capital of Calbayog City and is accessible via the Maharlika Highway.
