Basketball at the Summer Olympics

Already at the Olympic Games in 1904 and 1924 were basketball games involving American teams for the demonstration program. History

The early years

The first Olympic tournament in 1936 was hosted outdoors on tennis courts. Since the Games of 1948, the Olympic tournament will be played in the hall. The first seven tournaments without exception ended with wins the U.S. team. Four times this was the final episode in U.S. - Soviet Union.
