Basque Y

The high-speed line Basque Y is an under construction Spanish, standard gauge railway high-speed line. After completion it combines the Basque regional capital Vitoria- Gasteiz (with connection to Madrid ) with the two Basque cities, Bilbao and San Sebastian (with connection to France ).

The construction began in 2006, with the opening of Westastes is not expected before 2013, while the Ostast to be completed until some years later. The track top speed of 230 km / h
