Bassano in Teverina

Bassano in Teverina is a municipality with 1324 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Viterbo in the Italian region of Lazio.

Geography

Bassano in Teverina is located 84 km north of Rome, 22 km east of Viterbo and 8 km east of places. It lies in the valley of the Tiber. The medieval village rises directly above a steeply sloping hillside to the valley.

The neighboring municipalities are Attigliano (TR ), Bomarzo, Giove (TR ), Places, Soriano nel Cimino, Vasanello.

Traffic

Bassano is located on the provincial road SP 151 Via Ortana that connects Viterbo with Umbria. About it you can also reach 9 km the A1 Autostrada del Sole motorway from Rome to Milan ( driveway locations). In places there is also the nearest railway station.

Policy

Alessandro Romoli ( PdL ) was elected in June 2009 for the mayor. His center-right list is also available with 8 of 12 seats, the majority in the City Council. He took over from Carlo Piccialuti (PD ), who did not run.
