Basse-Rentgen
Basse- Rentgen ( German low - Rentgen, Lorraine Nidder - Rentgen ) is a commune with 390 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.
Geography
The community of Basse- Rentgen located about 16 kilometers north of Thionville, near the border with Luxembourg.
History
The place was first mentioned in the late 9th century as Reginoldingas and belongs since 1769, with an interruption from 1871 to 1918 ( National Rural Alsace- Lorraine), France.
Since 1790, are members of the Basse- Rentgen also the neighboring villages of Haute- Rentgen (upper Rentgen ) and Preisch where a castle is located.
