The Basset Fauve de Bretagne is a small, up to 38 cm high, compact, very lively hunting dog. The hair is short, rough, hard, but not woolly or curly in the colors of fawn, wheat -colored to brick red. He is most recognized for small game. He is said to have an exceptional talent hunt, which is why he is very popular with hunters.
