Bastian Baker

Bastian Baker ( born May 20, 1991 Lausanne, civil Bastien Kaltenbach ) is a Swiss singer-songwriter and guitarist.

Career

Baker got after the completion of high school sports a professional contract in ice hockey club HC Fribourg- Gottéron. Previously, he had begun with the two courses French and History. He decided, however, to focus on the music. Claude Nobs, founder of the Montreux Jazz Festival, Baker discovered when he played in a bar in Zermatt. He allowed Baker to play at the next Montreux Jazz Festival on a small stage free .. 2012 won Baker the Swiss Music Award for " Best Breaking National Act " and the "Prix Walo " newcomers.

In 2011, he released his debut album Tomorrow May Not Be Better. It reached # 3 on the Swiss charts and was certified platinum. The single from the album I'd Sing for You reached number 9 and was for 36 weeks in the Swiss charts.

Since 2014 he has been a jury member of the Belgian edition of "The Voice."
