Bastian Seibt

Bastian Seibt (born 19 March 1978 in Hamburg ) is a German lightweight rowers. In 2003 he became world champion in the eighth.

Home club of Bastian Seibt The hamburgers and Germania Rowing Club. Seibt won three German league title: 2003 in the eighth, and in 2005 and 2006 together with the Berlin Axel Schuster in the coxless pairs. In addition to the 2003 World Championship in Milan Seibt could reach to two World Cup victories: in 2003 with the eighth in Lucerne and 2006 with the coxless four in Munich. At the World Championships 2007, the German foursome with Seibt failed to qualify for the final. In 2008, the foursome with Bastian Seibt and Jost Schömann - Finck, and Jochen Kuehner and Martin qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing.
