Bastrop is a city in Morehouse Parish in Louisiana. The town, which was officially registered in 1852 as a community, is the administrative seat of the Parish.

According to the census of 2000 12.988 people in 4,723 households, and 3,301 families living in the city. In the city 30.1% are under 18 years old, 10.1% are 18 to 24, 25.6% 25 to 44, 18.8% are 45 to 64, and 15.5% are older than 65 The average age is 33 100 females 82.9 men come.
