Batac

Batac ( officially: City of Batac, Filipino: Lungsod ng Batac ) is a city (component city) in the Philippine province of Ilocos Norte.

The city is the birthplace of the current governor of the province, the son of former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos. In Batac The Marcos family owns a property with a mausoleum in which the chemically preserved corpse Marcos ' is laid out in a chilled glass coffin. In Batac is also a museum and a monument of Ferdinand Marcos.

By Batac flow two rivers, the Quiaoit and Garasgas. Also there are many lakes in the area.

History
