The Batang Hari is 600 km, the longest river on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

The Batang Hari originates in the Minangkabau highlands in Barisangebirge, in the province of Sumatera Barat (West Sumatra), first flows south through the town of Solok, crosses a small lake and splits into two branches. In a bow he swings to the north, flows through the cities Sungaida, Muaratebo and Muaratembesi.
