Batha Region
Batha is a region of Chad, corresponding to the former prefecture of the same name. Its capital is Ati. The region has about 400,000 inhabitants.
Geography
Batha is located in the center of the country and covers an area of 88,800 km ². The region is located in the Sahel. In the southwest region of Lake Fitri, one of the few freshwater lakes in the Sahel - Chad Basin lies. In the north and east, where one of the largest protected areas in Africa, the nature reserve Ouadi Rime Ouadi Achim, which covers an area of 77,950 km ² extending.
Another town next Ati is Oum Hadjer.
