Batiki

Batiki (pronounced Mbatiki ) is a 12 km ² island of volcanic origin, which belongs to the archipelago Lomaiviti the island state of Fiji in the South Pacific. It reaches a height of 186 meters.
The 300 or so inhabitants live in four villages, Mua ( main village, southwest), Yavu (northwest), Naigani (northeast) and Manuku (southeast) on the coast of fishing and subsistence agriculture. The island is surrounded by a fringing reef and has no safe anchorages.
