The Batten Kill (also Battenkill Battenkill River or ) is a left tributary of the Hudson River in the U.S. states of Vermont and New York.

The Batten Kill rises 9 km north of Manchester in Bennington County Vermont. It flows in a southwesterly direction to Arlington. There he changed his course to the west and flows into the Washington County to New York. He 5km north of Cambridge turns briefly to the north. It then flows back into predominantly westerly direction. It flows through the Greenwich and leads finally after another 10 km compared to Schuylerville in the Hudson River. The Batten Kill has a length of 96 km. It drains an area of 1054 km ².

Covered Bridges

At the Batten Kill are four covered bridges, three of which are still used today.

  • Arlington Green Covered Bridge (1852 ), in Vermont
  • Eagleville Covered Bridge (1858 )
  • Shushan Covered Bridge (1858-1962), now a museum
  • Rexleigh Bridge ( 1874)
