Battle of Dandanaqan

The Battle of Dandanqan (DMG Dandānqān ) took place between the Seljuks and the Ghaznavids on May 23, 1040. It ended with a victory for the Seljuks and ended the reign of the Ghaznavid over Khorasan.

Preparations
