Battle of Stångebro

The Battle of Stångebro took place on September 25, 1598 instead of near Linköping and finished in fact, the personal union between Poland - Lithuania and the Kingdom of Sweden, which existed from 1592.

In this battle the Swedish army defeated with about 13,000 men under the command of Duke Charles the Polish- Swedish king Sigismund III. Wasa and his army of about 8,000 men.
