The Baucau Airport ( Portuguese: Airoporto Baucau, formerly Cakung Airport ) ( IATA code: BCH) is located about six kilometers south-west of Baucau at an altitude of 542 m above sea level. He is the only airport in East Timor, can land on the larger machines than the Boeing 737. It is used primarily for military and supply flights.

Even in the Portuguese colonial era, the airport was the only goal of international scheduled flights, such as the Trans Australia Airlines. Baucau was the home base of the Transportes Aéreos de Timor (TAT ). With the Indonesian occupation of East Timor ended in 1975, the regular schedule. On 31 January 2003 an Ilyushin Il- 76TD crashed at the airport. Two passengers and four crew members were killed.

Currently, regular civilian flights are not noted in the international reservation system of airlines to Baucau. This Presidente Nicolau Lobato fly to the airport in Dili.
