The Bauer AG (own spelling: BAUER AG) is a publicly traded construction and engineering company based in Upper Bavaria Schrobenhausen.

Bauer is a leader in complex excavation pits, foundations and vertical seals as well as in the development and manufacture of related machinery for this dynamic market. In addition, the Group uses its expertise in the exploration, mining and safeguarding of valuable resources. The company of Bauer Group recorded in 2012 with approximately 10,300 employees working in around 70 countries achieved total Group revenues of 1.45 billion euros.

History

In 1790, acquired Sebastian Bauer (then: " Paur " ) from Deggendorf, a son in the pre- generation of Osterhofen ( Lower Bavaria ) originating coppersmith family, a coppersmith in Schrobenhausen. For over a century the coppersmiths worked for the establishment of breweries, covered with copper roofs and making objects for household ago.

Andreas Bauer drilled in 1902 in Schrobenhausen for the new water station house of an artesian well. The wells were new business branch of the company. For his son Karl Bauer of the construction of the central water supply of the city Schrobenhausen was a key project in 1928. Karl Heinz Bauer, born in 1928 and since 1953 Partner, 1956 sole managing director and directed the operation of the special civil engineering. Bauer is the world leader in the production of the entire range of machines for specialist foundation engineering.

Group structure

The Group's business is divided into three segments: Construction, Equipment and Resources. The Construction segment carries out specialist foundation engineering foundation and excavation around the world and their project development and related construction services.
