Baume et Mercier

The Baume & Mercier SA, headquartered in Bellevue is a Swiss watch manufacturer. That the Richemont Group subsidiary company develops, manufactures and markets women's and men's wrist watches in the luxury segment. 2006 Baume & Mercier generated a turnover of 190 million Swiss francs.

History

The company was founded in 1830 by brothers Louis Victor and Pierre -Joseph- Célestin Baume as the " Frères Baume " in Les Bois in the Swiss Jura. This came from an emigrant from the Franche -Comté family who in 1542 settled in Les Bois and there worked for generations in the watches of completion.

1847 Pierre -Joseph- Célestin Baume took up residence in London and founded in 1851 as a foreign location, the " Baume Brothers".
