Bautahaugen Samlinger

Bautahaugen Samlinger is a small open air museum in Hell Dalen, Sør - Aurdal in the Norwegian fylke Oppland. The museum was founded in 1902 by a local merchant Erik J. Bergsrud ( 1848-1915 ) and the farmers Elling Goplerud ( 1864-1932 ). It is located in a small forest in the center of Hedalen slightly below the stave church Hedalen.

Today, the museum includes 15 historic buildings and some 2,500 objects mostly from Hedalen, one of the oldest villages in Valdres. All buildings come from small farms or were hunting and fishing huts or buildings for dairy cattle in the mountains and valleys of Vassfaret and Vidalen.

The museum is now a branch of the Valdres Folke Museum.
