Bautista Saavedra Province

Bautista Saavedra is one of twenty provinces in the northwestern part of the Bolivian department of La Paz you bears her name in honor of Bautista Saavedra Mallea (1870-1939), Bolivian State President 1920 until 1925.

Location

The province is located on the Bolivian Altiplano northeast of Lake Titicaca and is bordered to the north-east to north-west by the province of Franz Tamayo, on the west by the Republic of Peru, to the southwest by the province of Heliodorus Camacho, and to the southeast by the Muñecas province and the province Larecaja.

The Bautista Saavedra province is divided into the following two counties ( bolivian: municipios ):
