Bavarian A II

Bayerische A II were locomotives of the Royal Bavarian State Railways.

The machines were designed as Stephenson - Long boiler machines. The fork framework was designed as inner frame and the firebox was supported by the rear wheel axle. There were differences between the machines of the two manufacturers only in the position of the feed pump. Kessler during this was outside, and was driven by the driving pin, it was Maffei inside and was attached to the Rückwärtsexzenter.

After it had been found that had the run of the locomotive very restless, were moved to the rear wheel axle by about 127 mm to the rear. In the 1860s, the old boilers were replaced by the boiler design Crampton on some vehicles. In addition, they built six copies to C I and three to B I. The rest were taken and scrapped 1871-1877 from the service.

They were equipped with a Tender of type 2 T 4.2.
