Bavarian AA I

The only AA I Royal Bavarian State Railways was built by Krauss in 1896. Designed she had the chief designer Richard von Helmholtz. The machine was broadly in Bavarian B XI engine and drive however, had been modified. They had the second coupled axle replaced by a fixed barrel axis and a biasing axis between the bogie and the driving axle mounted. This could be lowered by a pressure cylinder and was powered by an auxiliary engine with two cylinders. Despite the higher maintenance costs, it was economically due to the lower steam consumption. 1907, the locomotive was rebuilt after an accident in a 2'B h2 and redrawn in P 2/4. It was 861 over 36 of the Reichsbahn under the company number and retired as last Bavarian 2'B locomotive until 1933.

The vehicle was bay 3 T 14.5 equipped with a Tender of design.
