Bavarian Auto Group
The Bavarian Auto Group is a well established company from BMW in March 2003 to the production and distribution of vehicles of the BMW Group. The company headquarters is located in the investment zone in Cairo. With the newly founded company BMW took first in-house production for the Egyptian market, and established itself as a direct competitor to the Egyptian German Automotive, which manufactures vehicles of the Mercedes-Benz brand. Be recognized by the vehicles and parts from the Egyptian production in the vehicle identification number on the manufacturer code DAB.
Prehistory ( ACVA )
Since 1997 BMW models to be built in Egypt. Due to the limited production capacity, however, the Group shifted in late 1999 its production of the modern motor into a temporary furnished assembly hall, called ACVA (Alternative Company for Vehicle Assembling ), and built the models in current form continues. In a joint venture with the Egyptian Minister Ali El- Saiedi and Vice-President of BMW Group Lueder Paysen BMW built parallel to the work which bears the name Bavarian Auto Manufacturing Company today. The aim was to achieve this greater production capacity.

History
Built with an investment of 100 million U.S. dollars companies includes several companies, including several houses for sale in Giza and Cairo, Service Center in Alexandria and Cairo, as well as the Bavarian Auto Manufacturing Company in 6th of October City. For the distribution of vehicles, the company's own Bavarian Auto Trading Company is responsible.
Production of BMW models was recorded in May 2004 and since then includes the 3 - Series and 5 - Series model. At the end of 2005, the BMW X3 and the Chinese Brilliance Galena were added. In addition, the work also the assembly of minibus JinBei Cargo Van in the model versions of 1999 and 2003 took on. The model can also be ordered as a rescue vehicle in the form of an ambulance ( Ambulance) and also as a police vehicle ( Police Car ). In the spring of the following year then the Brilliance Splendor was included in the model program. In late 2008, followed the subcompact FRV Brilliance Splendor and its notchback variant Brilliance Splendor FSV and the sporting Brilliance Kouper. More vehicles manufactured by BMW in Egypt are the Mini Cooper, the Mini Convertible and the Mini Clubman. Since the spring of 2010, the Mahindra Scorpio is mounted.
The plant 4,000 units are produced per year, destined for distribution in Egypt, the Middle East and the COMESA countries. On 27 November 2009 the 10,000 vehicle rolled off the assembly line. A month earlier, on 6 October, Chinese Premier Wen Jiābǎo had paid a visit to the factory.
The Company agrees to pay part in sporting events and organized the BMW Golf Cup, which is a part of the introduced by the German parent company BMW Golf Cup International Tournament. 120 golfers taking part in the events that take place at a number of prestigious hotels and golf courses.
Special features are the models Splendor and Kouper in which the German Dr. Ing hc F. Porsche AG takes over the technical support and warranty for some of the vehicle parts. A special feature of the manufacturer is that he is the leading Egyptian manufacturer of luxury automobiles. The models of BMW and Brilliance are fully prepared to Egypt.
In the spring of 2011, the company has also taken over the distribution of vehicles from Great Wall Motors. Most of the vehicles are of African assembly. With a newly constructed assembly plant, the brand is to be mounted in the joint venture with the BMW subsidiary up to 200,000 units per year for the African market. Which of the models, however, Egyptian assembly has not yet been published. The BAG however, takes it a part of the engine production.
