Bavarian B III

Bavarian B III were locomotives of the Royal Bavarian State Railways.

Eight examples were delivered in 1852 by Maffei, the rest came from Hartmann. The machines of Hartmann had great similarity to those of type A IV, which were manufactured in the same period. In contrast to the specimens of Hartmann these locos also had a steam dome. This was supplemented with the copies of Hartmann later. All machines have a boiler of the type Crampton with smooth tubes and a capacitor of the type Kirchweg.

They were equipped with a Tender of the type 3 T 5.
