Bavarian B IX (Ostbahn)

The A, B IX was later a locomotive of the Bavarian Eastern Railway.

Type Crampton

The vehicles had an outer frame with outboard engine and control. With a diameter of 1,828 mm, these were the locomotives with the smallest wheel diameter of this type in Germany. Between 1869 and 1871, all cars were rebuilt in Regensburg and got the wheel arrangement 1 as then carried the numbers 1081 to 1092.

Type Stephenson

The second series of these locomotives were carried out in the design Stephenson. They differed in the size of the boiler and the engine not much different from that of the first series of this machine. These vehicles were rebuilt in Regensburg in 1870 and 1871 for vehicles with axle formula 1B. In addition, the boiler pressure was increased from 6 to 10 bar. Then carried the numbers 1069 to 1080.
