Bavarian C IV

The C IV was a freight train steam locomotive, built 1884-1897 for the Royal Bavarian State Railways. Between 1884 and 1893 87 copies with wet steam - twin engine were delivered in 1889 and two Probeloks 1892-1897 98 more copies with wet steam two- cylinder compound engine. The vehicles, which no longer possessed the previously typical of Bavarian locomotives outer frame for the first time, were the increasing demands but soon no longer cope. Nevertheless, were taken over by the Deutsche Reichsbahn numerous copies and as the class 53.80-81 with numbers 53 8011-8064 and 53 8081-8168. The twin engines were taken out of service in 1926, the composite locomotives until 1931.

The Zwillingsloks were bay 3 10.2 T equipped with a Tender of design. The composite machine had a Tender the type bay 3 T 10.5.
