The aircraft with the name DEGGENDORF and BAYR. FOREST were built in 1866 by Maffei for the Deggendorf Plattlinger railway and received the numbers D 13 and D 14. Operating only after the takeover by the Eastern Railway in 1872

The locomotives had an inner filling frame. Between the side frames, there was the water tank. The kettle was domlos, the regulator was disposed in the smoke chamber. The bronze slide were moved by an external Stephenson control over an inclined slide the push rod. The cab was protected when delivered by a front wall and a roof, which were later supplemented by a side or rear walls to a complete cab.

As the platform Ling- Deggendorfer railway was abandoned at the opening of the line Plattling - Deggendorf Eisenstein 1877, the two machines were supplied to another use. The DEGGENDORF knew the shuttle service on the short connector Geiselhöring - Sünching that BAYR. FOREST were deployed on the Miltenberg - Amorbach. Both locomotives were retired in 1895.
