History

The German Reichsbahn Bavarian Group Administration procured 1924-1926 29 electric locomotives E 32 series for light passenger service. Initially, they were still wearing the Bavarian name EP2 20006-034, before they received the 32 DR- series designation E. The numbers 01 to 05 remained vacant, as they had previously been allocated already the Bavarian EP1 ( later E 62). The E 32 was used on all routes in Upper Bavaria. 1936 with eight aircraft a top speed of 75 km / h to 90 km / h was increased by a modified gear ratio. These eight machines contributed henceforth the numbers e 32101-108 (E 32.1).
