The Baviaans municipality is part of the Cacadu District, Eastern Cape Province in South Africa. Covering an area of ​​7727 km ² live 15,321 inhabitants ( 2001). The administrative center is Willowmore.

The municipality is named after the nature reserve Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve. The term Baviaanskloof is composed of the Dutch words for baboon and Gorge ( kloof ).
