Bawku Municipal District

The Bawku Municipal District in the north- eastern part of Ghana belongs to the Upper East Region. The district shares a border with the neighboring countries of Burkina Faso and Togo.

Population

Kusasi, Mamprussi, Bissas and Mossi are the main ethnic groups represented here, with the Kussasi make up the majority of the population and the Mamprusi form the next group. In addition, migrants from Burkina Faso and from the south of Ghana. The immigrants from the south predominantly work in the public service. Economy
