Bawku West District
The Bawku West District in the north- eastern part of Ghana belongs to the Upper East Region. The district was not until 1988 that dissolved out of the old Bawku East District, and has a common border with the neighboring country of Burkina Faso. The white and the red Volta limit the district east and west.
Economy
The district is dominated by agriculture.
