Brown Chest Warbler ( Dendroica castanea )

The Brown Chest Warbler ( Dendroica castanea ) is a small bird in the family of warblers ( Parulidae ).

In summer the male has a distinctive plumage. It carries a chestnut crown, a maroon breast plumage and chestnut flanks. The underside is white plumage. In the face of the male wearing a black plumage drags on the side of the head. At the neck and sides of the neck towards the underside plumage is bright yellow. On the gray-black elytra are two white wing bars. The females are colored greatly inconspicuous in summer. As Winter dress brown chest Warbler wearing a greenish plumage on the head and on the top. The breast feathers and the flanks are yellowish.

Mostly eat brown chest Warbler insects. In winter, berries, fruits and nectar are taken.

Brown Chest Warbler often breed in the coniferous forests of northern North America, Canada New England on the Great Lakes. In winter they move to the north of South America and also occur as a rare guest in Western Europe.
